Alderman Frost called the meeting to order at 5:41 p.m.
II.
PUBLIC SPEAKERS
1.
Kari Humphrey spoke against the proposed TIF and shared her concerns regarding the
negative impact data centers have on the environment. She implored the council
members to vote against the TIF and any potential data center development.

Denzil Wynter spoke about the history of Juneteenth and urged residents of all
nationalities to unite together and learn to live in peace with each other.
Prophet Yusef recited a passage of scripture and spoke about the negative impacts the
Medicaid cuts would have on low-income families.
John Tac Brantley stated that approximately 3,000 African Americans voted in the last
election and he mentioned he was working to increase the voter registration within the
African American community.

Jackie de Batista from Farmers Rising stated that she serves on a task force working to
identify practical solutions to ensure all residents have regular access to fresh, healthy
and affordable foods. She encouraged the aldermen to vote in favor of the Mobile
Grocery Store Initiative.
