CALL TO ORDER  
Chairman Bonne called the meeting to order. The invocation was given by Chaplain Gary Lundberg. The Pledge  
of Allegiance was recited.

Mayor McNamara presented a Proclamation declaring the month of January, 2026 as 'Human  
Trafficking Awareness Month."  
PUBLIC SPEAKERS:  
1. Denzil Wynter spoke about the Black Panthers, and the importance of the African American  
Solider during  
WWII.  
2. Steven McMaster spoke about the proposed Senior Center location, and his opposition for the  
proposed construction of a new McDonalds. Mr. McMaster also spoke about his discontentment  
with the City's website.  
3. Prophet Yusef quoted scripture and spoke about Dr. Martin Luther King and what a great man  
he was.  
4. Ken Dickens spoke about DEI, and the ReGrow Program.  
5. John Tac Brantley spoke about his dissatisfaction with the recent ICE operations. Mr. Brantley  
also spoke about the Black Panthers  
II.  
COMMITTEE REPORTS  
Committee recommends approval of the sale of the vacant city-owned  
property located at 5798 Logistics Parkway to 5728 Logistics Parkway  
LLC, the neighboring property owner, for the amount of $124,000 plus  
costs.

Committee recommends sustaining the Zoning Board of Appeals’  
approval for a Special Use Permit for an off-premise business sign in a  
C-3, General Commercial Zoning District at 2102 McFarland Road  
(First Perryville Development Corporation/Applicant). Subject to  
conditions.

Ald. Durkee commented that this project is in his ward, and while he was opposed to it in  
the beginning, he has had an opportunity to speak with the developer, and his doubts  
have been resolved. He stated that he supports the request before the Committee tonight.  
Approval is subject to the following conditions:  
1.The sign must be constructed with a minimum of two feet of brick or stone base as  
required by the ordinance  
2.The off-premise business identification sign must be used in conjunction with the  
business to be located on the proposed Chase Bank lot (Proposed Lot 21 of Plat No. 5  
of Perryville Promenade)
